The complete collection of agnès b for eclipse mints

I had previously featured 3 out of 4 of the agnès b for eclipse tin mints here, and now that I've managed to get the last tin to complete my collection, I've an updated post with the new tin mint! The series of dinos are all in the mood of the festive season, and all 4 tins feature dinosaurs decked out in their festive gear (check out the agnès b scarf that the dino is wearing on the extreme right tin! Fashionable indeed!).  I'm glad to have managed to find all 4 tin mints as I've read that the mints were snapped out extremely quickly.

Hello Kitty Rubber Bands and Charms

I always have a thing for Hello Kitty (you can see all the stuff that I have accrued and discovered here). I was at 7-11 to pick up some stuff when I saw this near the counter. It was kinda hard to resist, especially since it's Hello Kitty. The 'Trendz and Charms‘ is actually a pack of fancy rubber bands in different shapes, along with two Hello Kitty charms.

Essence Add on Magic! looks

I spotted the ADD on MAGIC! collection at the local Watsons, and I had to try out the polishes. Essence has recently changed the nail polish bottle design, so all the bottles are now taller. I managed to get the blue and silver glitter top coats. I have a lot of China Glaze magnetic polish and OPI shatter polishes, so I gave the crackle and magnetic essence polishes a miss. More actual nail art after the jump!

Kate Spade x 25ans glass case

I recently picked up the December issue of 25ans (a Japanese magazine) and it came bundled with a Kate Spade glass/spectable/sunglass case. Initially I thought it was the usual pouches that most magazines had gifts-with-purchase, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover it's a really nice glass sleeve/pouch!

Darkness Tweezers

Previously featured: Darkness Eyelash Glue and Eyelid Tape

I am quite a fan of darkness eyelash products, as from my previous entries. Besides the eye products, it also offers some tools, and I picked up their series of tweezers to try out recently. What caught my eye was that the tweezer is dual-ended! Great for on-the-go touchups and emergencies.

agnès b for Eclipse mints

I recently spotted these tin mints at the supermarket, and I couldn't resist picking up a few. agnès b has collaborated with eclipse for the holiday season to sell these limited edition tin mints. There's 4 designs in all, and I managed to grab 3 of them. The last design is only sold in the agnès b boutiques so I'll try my luck there.

DIY cat ear beanie tutorial

In the trend of my cat ear beret tutorial, I decided to make my own cat ear beanie as well. I've seen it in a lot of Japanese fashion magazines these days. With the colder season coming up, it's a good chance for me to indulge in some new headgear, hence I decided to upcycle my old beanie to make a feline-looking one.

Previously featured: Hello Kitty Loves Liberty Mook here

Yes, I finally decided to open the Hello Kitty Loves Liberty Print mook pouch, and the pouch is really pretty and sturdy! Can't wait to use it. More after the jump.

Accessorizing my Uniqueen Tweed for fall

Remember my previous posts on my uniqueen jacket? I've introduced the jacket here and shared inspirations here. It's already late into fall, and I wanted to wear the jacket for the colder days. The tweed's pretty thick so it's nice to layer it. However, I'm too inclined towards black outfits in fall (all the leggings, heavy coats are usually darker colored in my wardrobe). I decided to spice up the look with a fur collar! The collar's detachable, and it's the exact jacket shown previously. Look how different it is here!

Hello Kitty Loves Liberty Print: Mook preview

I am a huge fan of Hello Kitty, and one of my favorite collaboration is the Hello Kitty for Liberty Print. They had a few collections out with Samantha Thavasa and I have some of the items. I was thrilled to see the Hello Kitty Loves Liberty Print Mook (magazine-book) out on the shelves! The cover is absolutely adorable. Comes with a snap-clasp pouch with Hello Kitty Liberty Print!

shu shu red- trying out the karl lagerfeld nail polish

I had shared previously about the Karl Lagerfeld Shu Uemura collaboration. I picked up the shu shu red polish earlier this month, and I'm pretty thrilled to try out the color! Of the three shades offered, this is the only color that I don't have in my OPI stash. I had similar colors to the beige and black so I didn't get those.

Darkness Eyelid Tape

Previously featured: Darkness Eyelash/Eyelid glue (here and here)

Darkness have many different eye products, and I had discussed about their series of eyelash and eyelid glue previously (see this and this). They also have lots of eyelid tapes. I personally do not use eyelid tapes, but here's one for comparison with the eyelid glue. There's 4 different ones available, and here is one of their eyelid tape.

Sigma Tightline Liner and Waterline Liner brushes

I recently got my hands on the Sigma E16 and E17 brushes, namely the tightline liner and waterline liner brushes. They come as part of the Performance Eye Kit. I must confess that I already have most of the brushes that are in the Performance Eye Kit- not by Sigma, but from a variety of brands. I was quite curious about how the tightline and waterline brushes would work out. I managed to get the brush set on sale, so it was an awesome deal!

DIY cat ear beret tutorial

Remember my obsession with cat ear headbands and cat ear berets? I've come up with a simple tutorial to make one for yourself! It requires materials that are widely available. I couldn't make a wool one myself as I don't have access to wool, but I managed to make one with felt. I'm quite pleased with the results, and hope this would be helpful to anyone who wants to make one! The one on the left (red) is DIY-ed while the one on the right (black) is the wool one that I bought.

DIY protective sleeve for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2

My Galaxy Tab 2 is my new best buddy- it's a great help for work, and holds lots of music for me to listen to when I'm relaxing. I've always been using the hard case that came bundled with the Tab 2, but parts of it got scratched. I've been looking for a cute and functional sleeve to fit over the Tab 2, hard case included, but most of the sleeves that I found could not fit the tablet with the sleeve on. As such, I decided to make my own!

Mon Shu collar pin from Shu Uemura Karl Lagerfeld

Another peek at the gift with purchase from the Shu Uemura Karl Lagerfeld collection! I had posted earlier on the collection itself here. This collar pin comes with the eye palette from the collection.

Anna Dello Russo x H&M necklace: review and photos

Previously: Versace for H&M

Remember my previous post on the Anna Dello Russo serpentine earrings here? As mentioned, I'm not that into the whole collection for this season's collaboration, hence I got very few pieces. This necklace is the other item that I procured. It's simple enough for my taste, and not too loud. Albeit it has lots and lots of crystals and blings!

Shu Uemura Karl Lagerfeld: collection preview and review!

Remember my earlier post on the gold Shu Uemura eyelash curler? I have always been a huge fan of the Shu eyelash curler, and today I added one more to my collection: Shu Uemura Karl Lagerfeld! I bagged many items in the entire collection, and the item that I will use most is definitely the eyelash curler. But nonetheless, I also picked up other items in the collection. More on the goodies (especially the pouches that came with the collection) after the jump!

Earrings from Anna Dello Russo x H&M collection

UPDATE: Anna Dello Russo necklace review here

I recently managed to lay my hands on the Anna Dello Russo for H&M earrings that I've wanted to get for some time. I don't actually like the entire collection as the accessories are all too loud and flashy for me, and these hoops are one of the simpler designs. I've no idea what creature it is, but I think it's some form of reptile.

my new cat beret: looks and inspiration

I have been into cat ears these days, including the cat ear hairband (and DIY instructtions here). Recently, I managed to get a nice black cat ear beret. It's been really hot in the Japanese fashion scene this fall season, and is seen on models like Lena. It's a usual size of a beret, and slightly flatter than a usual trucker hat (here it lies beside my panda hat).

tokidoki bicycle playing cards: preview/review

I had been pretty busy these days, so I have not been able to indulge in card games. I used to play card games such as poker and bridge, but not any more due to my schedule. Nonetheless, I still keep a bunch of cards with me. When I heard that Bicycle was releasing Tokidoki playing cards, I had to get them. Not sure if they are limited edition, but I purchased a few packs just in case.

after 2 months of clarisonic mia2: my review

I've been using the Clarisonic Mia2 for the past 2 months, and I have been pretty pleased with the results. I have been changing up my routine over the weeks and tried different ways to optimize my skincare routine, and here's my take.

starbucks tumbler for mid-autumn

I have always been a great fan of Starbucks tumblers, and I've been collecting them from different years and different seasons. I also have the cups and tumblers from various cities and countries as I travel. Recently, in view of the mid-autumn festival (for those who are not familiar, it's a traditional chinese festival), I picked up several tumblers. I've been using this one for some time, and love it very much.

hello kitty x mamegoma plush toy

I was out and about running some errands when I came across this version of Hello Kitty dressed in a seal costume. I've always adored Hello Kitty stuff (clearly from my many posts devoted to the mouth-less feline). I wasn't expecting to get any new Hello Kitty plushes but this one certainly caught my attention, and I had to get it since it's super rare!

DIY inspiration: cat ear hairband

I recently got a cat ear hairband, and I love how it looks! There are many places that sells such hairbands. I've seen it in yellow gold, rose gold and silver. It comes with pearls or crystals. Personally, I picked the silver hairband with clear crystals.

This hairband made me feel pretty inspired to do a DIY of it, and make a more customized version of the hairband. I've got some ideas, so hopefully I will be able to get it done over the weekend.

I love how the hairband looks. It's quite classy with the crystals, so I think it'll look great with dresses. I haven't tried it with casual get-ups, but personally I'd wear it for more fun parties. It's not something I'll wear on an everyday basis.

Watch out for the DIY tutorial soon!

peplum belt pairings: outfit inspiration

Peplums have been all the rage this season, and as featured earlier, I'd gotten myself a peplum belt. You can think of a peplum belt as a detachable peplum for tops or dresses that don't have peplums. Peplums are great for everyone. It can hide any tummy fats, or serve to accentuate the curves if you have a tiny waist. It's easy to work a peplum to suit your wardrobe! I chanced upon some stock photos of the Etro leather peplum belt. They have it in red and black, but both are sold out. Nonetheless, the looks provide a good inspiration!

a little rabbit on my mooncake

In the spirit of the impending Mid-Autumn Festival, I've been indulging in different mooncakes, and this one is by far my favorite. It has a cute bunny on the top of the mooncake. This is actually the liquor-ed mooncake from Bakerzin, and I managed to get it at a huge discount.

Looking forward to the festivities this weekend!

new discovery: BCBG Max Azria peplum belt

Peplums have been all the rage recently, and I just discovered this belt from BCBGMAXAZRIA. Actually I'm not very sure how the brand name goes- based on the company website it's actually 3 words, but on the tag and my receipt it's just one word. I picked this up and I've been loving the look!

Kate Spade x Cosmopolitan Hong Kong

The September 2012 issue of Cosmopolitan Hong Kong had been flying off the shelves, and I was lucky to get my hands on it. I didn't get it when it was first released as the few copies that hit the shelves of Kinokuniya were sold out the minute the store was open (and I got there too late!). I picked up my copy during the sea shipment of the magazine and I'm pretty pleased! It comes with the highly coveted Kate Spade pouches. More photos and review after the jump!

review of mason pearson mixed bristle brush, with care tips

I've been using my dear Mason Pearson brush for the past week, and so far it's been really good! The brush comes with a really helpful leaflet, and I'd love to share the care tips here. They'd be really useful for maintaining other types of boar bristle brush too!

h&m metal hair cuffs in pink!

I suppose hair cuffs are still trendy these days. I started to notice them and got my own dose earlier this year, and I realized that H&M has been rolling new variations every other month. Now spotted in the local store: pink hair cuffs!

how to make normal nail polish look like gel

I love the look of gel nail polish, but I didn't want to invest in the tools to do gel nails. Moreover, gelish can be pretty high maintenance due to the removal process. My nails grow very quickly, so I'm not so inclined on trying gelish. I've devised a little trick to make normal polish look like gel! More tips after the jump!

essence cosmetics in singapore: review of what I got

Recently, I got to know about essence cosmetics, and I showed some brochures in the entry here. I managed to pick up lots of essence goodies recently, and I'm really excited about the products that I managed to find! The stuff sell out really fast, as I mentioned, so I was so happy to be able to what I wanted! More of the detailed product description after the jump!

Samantha Thavasa x With lanyard/card case

I'm a huge fan of Samantha Thavasa (ST), and I love the cute, girly products. I recently picked up the October 2012 issue of With magazine, Japan edition. It came with a lovely pink/peach ST lanyard and card holder. I love how the lanyard looks!

trying out different darkness eyelash glue

There's actually 3 different types of Darkness eyelash glue available, and I got 2 different kinds to try them out. I gave the other variant a pass because I don't really like the squeeze tubes. I decided to get the premium glue in black and the non-premium one in white. Here's a short comparison of the two different eyelash glues.

Reliving childhood memories- Hello Kitty Vinyl Wallet

I wasn't expecting to find anything Hello Kitty when I was buying milk from the local convenient store 7-11, but I realized that there was actually a whole display of Hello Kitty merchandise! There were lots of plush key chains, some plasters and wallets. I got one for myself, and it really reminds me of my childhood days.

Getting my first Mason Pearson brush

I've read so much about the Mason Pearson brush in various magazines, and for years and years it has entered the beauty product ranks that various magazines publish. One of the most memorable list that I remember is the Instyle Best Beauty Buys, and the brush had been featured on the magazine for so many years! According to this, the brush is the best paddle brush since 2005. Mason Pearson isn't available in Singapore, hence it's impossible to get it in stores. I've read on forums that some ladies do get it direct from hair dressers, but since I don't have a regular hairdresser, that isn't an option for me. It took a lot of research, and I finally got my own brush!

New discovery: essence cosmetics in Singapore

Recently discovered this brand in Watsons. I realized that it's only available at a few exclusive outlets, hence it's not a mystery why I've never noticed the brand! It's not sold at the Watson's store that I frequent. The brochures that I found at the counter were lovely and colorful! There's lots of products shown inside. This time round I only picked up one item, and I'm looking forward to try more!

Sanrio Nanoblocks at Comic Con

I chanced upon the booth that was selling nanoblocks and I decided to pick one up. The Sanrio ones were flying off the shelves, and by the time I got to the booth about five minutes after the show opened on the first day, the Hello Kitty one was sold out! I decided to pre-order the Hello Kitty Set. Would take about 2 weeks to arrive, which was ok with me since I'm pretty busy these days I might not lay my hands on building the figurine immediately.

tokidoki at comic con

Over the past weekend of September 1 and 2, 2012, I was at the Singapore Toy, Games and Comic Convention (STGCC). I showed some snippets of the stuff I saw in the previous entry, and I'll be sharing on more stuff over the next few days! Today's feature shall be on tokidoki.

Day 1 of STGCC

The time of the year that I've been anticipating for the longest time! This week, the STGCC or Singapore Toys, Games and Comic Convention is held at the Marina Bay Sands. Since I've the tickets for the event, I'm intending to spend my whole weekend there. As seen, my favorite artiste, Simone Legno, has a booth there. I already have lots and lots of tokidoki merchandise, and I managed to snag some of the new stuff!

Darkness Eyelash Glue

I've read a lot about the Darkness eyelash glue on various blogs and websites, and I finally manage to get mine. Really elusive brand indeed! I've been searching up and down for it, to no avail. I found it last weekend and was delighted. I only saw the black one, but in what I know there's also the white one.

Hello Kitty Tin Mints

When I was at the mall earlier this week to restock on the groceries, I chanced upon the new Hello Kitty mints. I can't pass on anything Hello Kitty, so I got two of them!

1 more week to STGCC

Studs and leather for fall

I have been busy with lots of things these days, but that doesn't stop be from keeping my eye out for fashion. I chanced upon this gillet on ASOS. I already have a leather jacket for biking, and had been on the lookout for a nice leather vest. However, most of the once I came across were either too heavy or too thick and hot. I'd love to wear the vest for both casual days and riding days, so having one that provides good ventilation is crucial. When I saw this online, I knew I had to get it. It was on sale, plus with an additional coupon code, it was definitely a good buy!

My first Lush mask: Brazened Honey

I got my first Lush mask last week and I was pretty excited about it! I do pop by Lush from time to time, but I don't usually get much as most of the stuff are too... fancy for my liking. I'm not a bath person, and I only use the solid shampoo and conditioner when I work out at the gym or go swimming (those are really handy and easy to bring out, and they don't spill- less mess!).

I was so thrilled to see that they had restocked their mask, and after some help from the SA, I picked up the one called Brazened Honey.

Tsumori Chisato Fall 2012 Mook

I had been looking forward to the Tsumori Chisato mook (or magazine-book) to be released in the local bookshop, and I was so thrilled to spot this last week! Given that the brand is highly sought after and considerably rare, I wasn't surprised that there were only two copies of the mook left when I reached the bookshop. I snapped it up immediately and took advantage of the 20% discount. This is definitely one of the best mooks of the year! I was very excited to check out the mook...
