more Chanel camellia DIY ideas- black and white brooch

Previous DIY idea for Chanel camellias found here

In view of the excess camellias I have, I decided to try out another DIY idea. I used my oil-based permanent marker to color the rims of each petal of the Chanel camellia. It gives a totally different feel as compared to the plain camellia! I like how elegant and simple it looks, yet giving a totally classy vibe.

I carefully shaded the rim of each petal. In order to prevent any color transfer, I slotted some scrap paper underneath the petal that I was coloring. The petals are stuck together individually, so they can be easily lifted and shifted around. The whole process took less than 15 minutes. Using the remaining brooch backings that I have, I stuck one on the back of this re-created camellia.

Voila! Another DIY accomplished!
