I managed to get some of the items, and here is a peek of what the print is like!

December is a jolly month- with Christmas and New Year just around the corner. This holiday season,  Etude House released two nail polish kits to ring in the winter holiday. The Shining Dream collection is inspired by The Little Match Girl. Along with the theme of dreams coming true, the nail polish kits are aptly named Delight Holiday and Holy Twinkle.

Some stores have started to roll out the Tokidoki x Sanrio Character collection, and I was thrilled to be able to pick some of the items up! Here's a short peek at some of the stuff that I got. The collection is extremely limited, and some of the merchandise are already sold out. The Sanrio I went to was out of the iPhone 5 cases when I was there!

New Discovery- Hello Kitty lip gloss palette

I was out and about at Takashimaya, and realized that there was a Sanrio/ Toys sale. I spotted this nifty little palette at the Hello Kitty aisle. It's something pretty unique and I definitely will use the gloss inside! There's actually quite a lot of Sanrio goodies at the toy section of the department store, and the prices are very affordable.

DIY mini makeup palette

I have quite a lot of different samplers and mini-sized makeup products. It can get a bit cumbersome to bring all the small products out in my makeup bag when I travel or when I go out with a tiny bag. As such, I decided to make my own palette. It's a simple project with materials easily obtained. It's extremely convenient to bring the sleek and small palette out, and it can even fit into my jeans pocket!

Olay ProX Microdermabrasion review

The Olay ProX Microdermabrasion + Advanced Cleansing System- such a mouthful to say! It's a nifty cleansing system as the name suggests. It's very similar to the older version of the Olay ProX kit, but this one comes with the Microdermabrasion brush head and Thermal Crystal Polisher. These two were the items in the kit that really drew me in. Here's a short review plus comparison with the Clarisonic Mia 2!

Geek Trick: Headphone storage using lash cases

I have been using this trick for some time, and thought it would be something really useful to share! Besides holding false eyelashes and eyelash glue, lash cases are quite useful for storing small items. One of the things that I use the cases for is to store my earphones. It's a cheap and secure alternative, and prevents snagging. Most lash cases are made out of pretty good plastic so it's a very safe place for your precious earpiece!

Lookback at STGCC 2013- Avengers & Tokidoki

The Singapore Toy, Games and Comic Convention (STGCC) was held last weekend from August 31 to September 1, 2013. I was glad to be able to attend the convention, and had a blast! Besides meeting my favorite artists, I also met up with familiar faces that I had seen in the previous years. It was nice to make new friends as well. Some pictures and good memories in retrospect!

Two weeks ago, I had the honor of attending the Etude House Pink Play Part as an ambassador of Etude House.  The theme of the party was "Play, Talk and Sing". I had a wonderful time, and it was such a fun and memorable night! The highlight was definitely seeing Shinee perform life.

Etude House Color Pop Reveal and Bling by the Sea

It's almost the end of summer, and Etude House has released a new round of products! I received the new nail polishes from Etude House. In the previous round of Summer Nails, the colors are bright and cheerful. This time, the nail polishes are also very bright! The palette featured for the Summer Pop Collection is blue and green. In conjunction with the Bling by the Sea makeup collection, a few glitter nail polishes have also been released. I got 2 of them to try out!

Maybelline Lash Factory False Eyelashes

Maybelline released a couple of false eyelash kits in Japan, and I managed to pick some up recently! I was quite excited to find them. Being a huge fan of Maybelline mascaras, this is something that I had been looking forward to. There are 3 'eye-types' with 2 corresponding lashes for each type. There's the single eyelid, hidden double-eyelid and double eyelid. It's made specially for Asian eye shapes. I got myself 2 different ones, both for double eyelid. As above, each kit comes with 2 pairs of lashes and the glue is sold separately.

Hello Kitty Bento Mook

There was a Kinokuniya sale over the weekend, with 20% off for members. I managed to get a few goodies during my trip to town and feel quite happy about it! One of the fun things I got was a Sanrio Bento mook. There has been quite a few Sanrio mooks recently, but this bento is the first one that I've seen that's related to food.

DIY Cappuccino Mix

I love pretty teacups and teapots, but I don't use them very often. When I am out and about, I usually drink my tea and coffee from my beloved tumblers. Over the weekend, I decided to try out some coffee-making and play around with the ingredients I had in the kitchen.

I managed to whip up a nice hazelnut cappuccino. I added a dash of chocolate on the foam, and a slight sprinkle of cinnamon to add a unique twist to my coffee. The result was quite lovely, and I enjoyed the dink! And I feel very delighted to drink my own concoction from a lovely teacup too.

I am looking forward to try out other combinations for my coffee... shall be more adventurous and add more unconventional flavors!

You can view all the entries that I wrote about the Clarisonic Mia 2 here. I posted my first entry on the Mia 2 exactly a year ago!

Z-palette Cherry Blossom Review and Reveal

Cherry blossom- always a wonderful reminder of spring, and a beautiful symbol for the lovely season as winter fades away. I managed to get the much sought-after Z-palettes with the Cherry Blossom prints! For those who are not familiar with Z-palettes, they are magnetized palettes that come in different oblong shapes (either square or rectangular, doubt there's any round ones) and sizes. The 'base' of the palettes is a sheet of magnet, so it will be able to hold metal makeup pans. They come in different colors as well, with various fun prints too. My favorite ones are these blue and green cherry blossom ones.

Review of Etude House Summer Sand Collection

The Summer Sand collection was released by Etude House last month as part of the summer collection, and I had the honor of receiving them. I did a Despicable Me nail art using the blue one here. I love the Summer Sand collection as they are quite unique. The texture is very interesting and works great for layering in nail art.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush review

I have heard a great deal of good things on the Real Techniques brushes, and I managed to get a few of them some time back. I was very excited to try out the brushes and they are indeed very good brushes! I  have several of the face and eye brushes, but the one that struck me most is the Expert Face Brush (leftmost in the photo above). The Powder Brush and the Setting Brush (Middle and right as above) are also great face brushes.

Despicable Me-inspired nail art using Etude House Summer polishes

Summer season = lot's of movies released, and one of the movies that I am looking forward to is Despicable Me 2. It would be out in most cinemas next week. I was inspired to do a movie-themed nail art so I decided to try out a minion nail art. The nail colors used are from the summer collection by Etude House. The bright yellow tone is a great perky color for the warm weather! Step-by-step details in the post below!

Infinity Bracelet DIYs

I love layering and making arm candies. Recently, I picked up some infinity charms from the craft store. The charms are gold with clear crystals. I was tempted to do some braided bracelet design or chain layering. While I rummaged through my craft supplies, I found a strand of off-white pearls and decided to do this combination of an infinity bracelet! I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Ladurée Singapore's Keyring back in stock!

I was extremely excited to chance upon the Ladurée keyring (commonly referred to as the bag charm/keychain)! It was sold out in Singapore when it was first launched earlier this year in April (during the Ladurée opening). The second batch of stocks arrived on June 14 (Thursday), and the keychain/keyring/bag charm has been flying off the shelves! I managed to pick up a few of them, and in what I know the Mint and Rose one is almost sold out. The one shown above is mint, with the light blue box.

Cooking Pitan Tofu

I realized that I've never really blogged about cooking and food here, so here's my first DIY post that's dedicated to food! I love Japanese cuisine, and one of my favorite dishes is Pitan Tofu. It's a fusion dish, and I love how the silky tofu goes with the creamy sauce.

Etude House Missing You Blanket GWP

I picked up some new products and sale items from Etude House, and am quite excited to share about the new GWP that I spotted in store! It's a Missing You Blanket with the owl as a cape/hood. How cute is that? It's a GWP for purchases above SGD60. I haven't started to use it as the weather is pretty warm, but it would be great for those rainy days and cold nights. I've always been a huge fan of the interesting GWPs from Etude House and spotting this in stores was a pleasant surprise!

Safety catches for earrings

From time to time, I come across random interesting finds at Daiso, and recently I found something very useful for earring wearers- safety catches! The one I got is in the shape of little hearts, but I also spotted other variants such as stars or just plain round safety catches.

New discovery- UV cord/thread

Something random which I chanced upon at the craft shop- UV thread! Apparently the thread changes color under UV light. The thread looks white indoors (without UV light) as shown above, and I'm quite curious how it will turn out! Would make a pretty interesting material for some arm candy with braided designs!

Comparison of Uni Style Fit and Pilot Hi-tec Coleto Multi-pens (Hello Kitty)

These days, I have been using multi-pens a lot. They are convenient, and given that there are many customization options available, it's easy to make one that suits your daily need and lifestyle habits! I tried out both the Pilot Hi-tec Coleto (previously featured here) and also the Uni Style Fit. Both are multi-pens from different brands. I shall do a short comparison on each pen. Shown here are Hello Kitty Multi-pens from Uni Style Fit (top) and Pilot Hi-tec Coleto (bottom), both with 3 colors.

Hello Kitty DIY moving charms

I discovered a gorgeous Hello Kitty DIY charm when I was out shopping! I was pretty intrigued by it. It's very different from the typical DIY accessories, which usually involves picking charms to be stranded or clipped onto lace/cords. This one is a clear capsule with the charms placed into the cavity, and the charms can jiggle around!

There's also the Look At My Nails series (on the right of the photo, as seen with the white bottle tops), with 6 shades of pink and beige polishes. The nail care and nail art goodies are also very interesting and fun. More after the jump!

Needle Felting kits from Daiso

Daiso has the most interesting little knick-knacks, and here's something I discovered recently- needle felting kits! Basically, you would roll up balls of felt and use a special needle to poke the balls of felt. The felt will become more compact and you can shape the felt into different things. I decided to get some kits to try out such a craft!
