Shining Dream Twinkle Nails by Etude House

December is a jolly month- with Christmas and New Year just around the corner. This holiday season,  Etude House released two nail polish kits to ring in the winter holiday. The Shining Dream collection is inspired by The Little Match Girl. Along with the theme of dreams coming true, the nail polish kits are aptly named Delight Holiday and Holy Twinkle.

01 Delight Holiday is a red themed polish kit, with a dark burgundy base color, a gold glitter polish and a sparkly red-green glitter polish. The colors remind me of Christmas!

02 Holy Twinkle is a cooler combination, with a dark blue base color, pearly glitter polish and a holographic glitter polish. This kit reminds me of snow!

Each kit comes with three bottles of polishes, each containing 4ml of product. The kit also comes with a sheet of nail seals. All the motifs on the seal are very wintery, with snowflakes and stars! Both kits come with the same design of seals.

There are many ways to wear the nail polishes. I decided to do an ombre effect with both the nail kits. Here's how each polish looks like when being layered:

01 Delight Twinkle:

I started off with the red base color. The red is very glossy and has no glitter. It goes on really smooth and the color payoff is very rich! The color seen on my nails are with just one coat of polish. After the red polish has dried, I layered some gold sprinkles on the tips of the nails. The gold glitter is very fine and dense, and the color is extremely pretty in real life.

The last step is to add the glitter polish. I love the red and green glitters. They blend very well with the gold, and gives an extremely festive look. Definitely a very Christmas combination, perfect for the holidays!

02 Holy Twinkle:

The blue base color is glossy and has very fine iridescent glitter in it. It goes on really glossy and dries to a shiny finish. The color is also very rich, and one coat is sufficient for the intensity of the blue to show.

The next coat is a pearly white shade. I love how it goes with the blue. It's a light and sheer polish, and the glitter adds a touch of luxe.

The last coat is to add the holographic glitter polish. It contains bits of hexagonal glitter bits, and there were some star-shaped glitter too! Very pretty and the combination reminds me of falling snow in the winter night sky.

I also added the nail decal to my thumbs. I tried playing around with different patterns, and settled with some stars and snowflakes. Very winter-themed! I love how the silver goes with the dark blue and glitter. The contrast is beautiful, and the design of the snowflake is extremely intricate. Just look at the detail of the flake!

I love how versatile both the kits are. There are definitely many different looks to experiment with, but I only tried with one look for each kit here. The polishes are very glossy and pigmented, and I did not need to use any base coat for my manicure. They dry very fast as well, so layering the different shades for the ombre look is easy and quick.

I am a great fan of nail polish kits, and I definitely recommend these ones for the holiday season! They are now available at all Etude House outlets, and retails at S$11 for each kit.
